Shankar AVSB is the author of the book “The Essence of Gita” and founder of this website “Gitaweb.org”. The book and the website are dedicated to share the teachings of Shri Krishna in the Gita Verses, along with practical insights and examples to help devotees and followers worldwide in the lives. Shankar is a devotee of Shri Krishna. He studies the teachings of Shri Krishna in the Gita, to share valuable knowledge with others. He aims to follow the teachings of the Gita, with regular prayers for self and other devotees.
Shankar grew up in and around defence cantonments of India, and studied in many KV schools and colleges located across India: Ambala (Haryana), Barrackpore/ Kolkata (West Bengal), Adampur/Jalandhar (Punjab), Girinagar, Pune (Maharashtra), Secunderabad (Telangana), Jodhpur and Jaipur (Rajasthan), Kanpur and Lucknow (UP). Work with ABB and Infosys took him to Korba (Chhattisgarh), Delhi NCR, and Bangalore (Karnataka). He was able to see the significant commonality of people of India despite differences of language, cuisine, and culture.
Shankar has a keen interest in financial markets, software, farming, biotech, and AI trading systems (Amxsys). He is a co-founder of Green Earth Blockchain, which aims to bring transparency in the global food supply chain and natural products. He is also a co-founder of Kaafila, which aims to deliver free education worldwide using blockchain and metaverse.
Shankar has studied Electrical Engineering from NIT Jaipur, MBA from IIM Lucknow, and post graduate courses on startups and biotech from Stanford University. He helps alumni and youth in their careers, and advises startups and entrepreneurs in different capacities.
